For my first photography post on the new site, I thought I would revisit what is still one of my personal favourite shoots.

Back in early 2012, a few of my photographer friends came across an abandoned house a short drive out of Melbourne, once I saw their photos I knew it would be perfect for the type of shoot I was looking for. Each room had a distintive feel, some completely destroyed, others half, one room still perfectly intact, and luckily all softly lit by natural light.

Working with Madeleine Hamilton (model) and Hailey Ryan (MUA/Stylist), we tried to create a mix of portrait/fashion photos with a hint of abandonment, longing and beauty.

It was one of those shoots where everything just fell into place from the first shutter press.
